KUALA LUMPUR: Action comedy Polis Evo directed by Ghaz Bakar and starring award-winning actors Shaheizy Sam and Zizan Razak as drug-busting police inspectors has collected RM8 million after 11 days in cinemas. Its production house Astro Shaw’s head Najwa Abu Bakar said the film was screened in 101 cinemas nationwide. “We are delighted that the public has shown overwhelming support for this hilarious yet educational movie which stars two of the country’s finest actors. Shaheizy and Zizan teamed up for the first time and they make a very entertaining, formidable duo of crime fighters who unleash their ‘out of this world’ combat skills against notorious drug kingpins,” said Najwa. The action comedy is written by three screenwriters namely Joel Soh, who is also the producer, Kyle Goonting and Anwari Ashraf.
